Does my calendar get uploaded to your servers?
No. PrintCal reads your calendar from Microsoft in your browser, lays it out and makes the PDF on your device. Our servers only see your Microsoft ID, a monthly PDF count and your plan, never events, titles, attendees or places.
Which calendars can it print?
Your own Outlook calendars, plus calendars shared with you on Pro and Team (PrintCal asks Microsoft for extra read permission only when you tick “Include shared calendars”). It works with work, school and personal Microsoft accounts.
Can it print several calendars on one page?
Yes. Pro and Team print up to 12 calendars together, each in its own colour. In black & white mode each calendar gets its own pattern, so they still tell apart on a mono printer. Free prints one calendar.
Are my private events safe?
Events marked private or confidential in Outlook print as “Private appointment” by default, with no title, place or attendees. You choose whether to show them.
Why are my times right in Outlook but off in some other print tools?
PrintCal asks Microsoft for events in one time zone and prints them in that same zone, which it shows in the footer. By default it follows Outlook's own zone, and you can change it.
Can it print Chinese, Japanese, Arabic or emoji?
Not yet. Latin, Cyrillic and Greek text prints well. Other scripts and emoji are left out, and PrintCal tells you when that happened. We're working on it.
Do I need to install anything?
You can use PrintCal straight in your browser at printcal.nostello.com/app. The Outlook add-in adds a Print calendar button inside Outlook. See Install.
What counts as one PDF?
Each time you press Download PDF counts as one, up to 31 pages. Pressing Print right after, with the same settings, reuses that PDF and doesn't count again. Free counts reset on the 1st of each month (UTC).
How does Team work?
The person who buys Team covers up to 10 colleagues who sign in with the same Microsoft 365 organisation. Seats are claimed automatically the first time a colleague makes a PDF.
Is Pro per person?
Yes, Pro is per user. For a group, Team covers up to 10 people in the same Microsoft 365 organisation on one invoice.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time from Manage billing in the Account dialog. You keep your plan until the end of the paid period.
Do you store my calendar?
No. Calendar data never reaches our servers. See Privacy.
Which Outlook versions work?
Outlook on the web, the new Outlook for Windows and Mac, and classic Outlook with a recent Microsoft 365 build. You can also use PrintCal in any modern browser without Outlook.
What permissions does it ask for?
Sign-in and your basic profile (User.Read), and read-only access to your calendars (Calendars.Read). If you tick “Include shared calendars” it asks once for Calendars.Read.Shared. It never asks to change anything.
